The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 replaced most of the previous fire safety acts
and regulations in the UK.
Under this new Order:
- Fire certificates have been abolished
- Every business with employees has to carry out a fire risk assessment
- Every business with employees has to have a "responsible person" to handle fire
safety
